We were thrilled to hear from a parent recently, about their experience of SHARE. Read here to find out more about what this support group can do for families with children with Austism or Asperger’s Syndrome.
Our volunteer book-keeper is leaving us in the autumn to be nearer to her family. We are upset that Lynda will be leaving, she has been a very much valued member of our team but we do understand her reasons and wish her lots of luck, with lots of cuddles from her new grandson!
If you are a book-keeper, looking for some voluntary work, have a sense of fun and would like to be part of small but growing team we would love to hear from you. You will have to present a financial report to the Board Meetings, but again this is set up to make this task easy, as well as present our accounts to the accountant at the end of the financial year. Lynda has already set up our accounts on spreadsheets and has a system in place that works easily and very well.
References will be taken up.

Following on from the growing success of the Moorland support group, this new group will meet the first Tuesday of each month at Sleaford Rugby Club.
SHARE is for parents who have a child, or young adult up to the age of 25, with autism. Those parents who may still be waiting for a diagnosis are more than welcome to come along as well.
We only have ten individuals in any group making our support groups small, friendly and very supportive.

Family Focus Lincolnshire.
We are looking for up to 5 enthusiastic new members to join our Board of Directors to help guide our organisation. We meet quarterly, the first Monday afternoon of each quarter, in the local community, here at Moorland, Lincoln. We have both Executive and Non-Executive Directors.
Ideally you will have experience within the business, financial or legal community. It is not essential for you to have knowledge of or experience in the social care sector. We would like someone able to commit to spending up to 3 hours per month for the next two years, although this is negotiable and according to the needs of familyfocus at this stage of our development. Each Director has the opportunity to develop their own area of interest within familyfocus.
It is part of our Articles of Association & Governance Document that Directors do not receive payment for this role.
If you would like to apply, there is an application and interviewing process, or would just like to find out more please contact our founding Director, Hilary Sharpe at firstname.lastname@example.org or go to our contact us page.
